About Us

Reading School is a state-funded grammar school and, with the Minster Church of St Mary the Virgin, is one of its two oldest surviving institutions within the heart of Berkshire, England. With an accredited history dating back to 1125, Reading School predates Eton College and stands as one of the oldest schools in the UK, marking 900 years of heritage and excellence in education.

Reading School is proud to open its doors and facilities for the local community. We provide a unique space in which to hold a variety of events including; meetings; sports; music; cultural; language; holiday and special events.
